2018 Reflections

2018 has been quite the year!

We have not stopped running from January to Christmas. It has been a whirlwind year traveling overseas to England a few times, Sweden, France, Italy twice, being in Texas for three weeks, driving 3000+ miles round trip from Connecticut to Texas in a van, spending another three weeks in Texas, unwittingly being part of the French Yellow Vest protests, getting lost in Monaco, exploring Venice, and finally making our way back home. We’ve taken planes, trains, and all manner of automobiles to get where we needed to go this year.

During all the travel a few things were constant: Kelly and I were side by side, we worked hard, and we always had a good time.

In 2018 Modern Antiquarian was officially launched, we launched our new website, we rebranded all our social media, made new friends, and literally took the road less traveled. And we loved it. This year was our year. We crafted a plan, followed the steps, adjusted as needed, and are seeing the results of our hard work paying off. It’s fun to look back at where we started a year ago and how much we have accomplished. So many people supported us along the way. Nothing is more inspiring than women reaching out and lifting each other up, cheering for every success, and helping you however they can.

I said to Kelly the other day “I think if you held me upside down and shook nothing more would come out of me today.” That is true of this year too. We accomplished everything we set out to do and more.
